about us
farmhouse flowers is a small producer of traditional outdoor cut flowers in Whitchurch-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire – started up in 2008 by myself, Lorna Woolhouse. There is an increasing demand for locally-grown flowers in an English style, because everyone is now more aware of the environmental impact of crops grown intensively, under glass and halfway across the globe. My flowers are all grown naturally on site in our cutting beds - no planes, lorries or refrigeration before they reach your home.
I am an enthusiastic young horticulturalist with training background at Berkshire College of Agriculture, Garden Organic at Ryton, and Oxford Botanic Gardens. I love plants in all their different forms but my passion is growing and picking them! It is a real delight to put the flowers together in a bouquet for the enjoyment of my customers. Please browse the page ‘what we grow’ to find out the flowers that should be available this season.
